In an inspiring event last month, Jane, Founder and Coach of Nettle Revolution from Cornwall, was honoured with the Theo Paphitis #SBS (Small Business Sunday) Award.
This recognition comes as a significant milestone for Jane’s health initiative, Nettle Revolution, which is a cornerstone of her business dedicated to spreading mindfulness and enhancing personal well-being whilst having a positive impact locally and globally.
The award was presented by Theo Paphitis, a renowned entrepreneur and former Dragon on the BBC series ‘Dragons’ Den.’
Theo’s initiative to support small businesses across the UK offers them a platform to gain visibility and grow, and the ceremony provided Jane with an invaluable opportunity to briefly share her business story and present Theo Paphitis with one of her hand-woven stinging nettle scarves.
Jane expressed her delight, stating, “Winning the Theo Paphitis #SBS Award is like the cherry on the cake; a dream come true. It’s more than just an award; it endorses and spotlights #NettleRevolution underpinning it with merit and respect. Meeting Theo Paphitis was an incredible experience, a pivotal moment. His belief in the power of small businesses and the impact they can have is truly inspiring. This recognition propels me forward in my quest to improve health by taking the 'sting' out of nettles!”
Nettle Revolution is an initiative founded by Jane with the aim to foster personal well-being through her workshops, by raising awareness of the benefits of harvesting the humble yet powerful nettle and exploring the myriad ways we can use nature to connect and heal not only ourselves but also the planet.
Jane’s victory in the #SBS Award is not just a personal achievement but a step forward for #NettleRevolution in its endeavour to spread positive awareness and well-being. With this newfound recognition, Jane is poised to extend her reach, bringing the benefits of her work to a wider audience and contributing to a happier, healthier world.
Self-confessed Shopkeeper, Theo re‐tweeted Jane Gray’s message to his over 500,000 Twitter and Instagram followers and as a result, Nettle Revolution has increased followers and extra orders for their cordage-making, stinging nettle workshops and products. They are also profiled on the #SBS website www.theopaphitissbs.com that is exclusive to all Small Business Sunday winners.
Theo, said: “We are thrilled to welcome new #SBS members every week and highlight just how important it is to support our small businesses here in the UK. My vision is that everyone who has ever won an #SBS re-tweet from me becomes part of a friendly club; like-minded individuals who can share successes and learnings and I wish Jane every success for the future of her business.”
