Cornwall Open Studios 2025: A Serendipitous Step for Nettle Revolution

Cornwall Open Studios was a great success for the many artists who opened their doors across our creative county. I’d like to express my heartfelt thanks to Jeremy Sander—an inspiring artist himself based at The Old Workshop, Lower Drift, Penzance—and to his dedicated team of helpers, including Canny Goose Jewellery, who made the event possible.

I had the pleasure of exhibiting Nettle Revolution at Mount Pleasant Eco Park, Porthtowan, alongside an inspiring group of creatives Gail Cooper Ceramics, Annie B - Art, Jess Berriman Ceramics, R Bray Wood, Smartie Lids On The Beach, and Tegen Jewellery .

The event was alive with conversation, connection, sales, commissions, and exciting new avenues to explore. It wasn’t just about showcasing our work—it was about community, creativity, and opening new doors.

For me, the experience held an unexpected gift. I was interviewed by Olivia of The Creative Rebellion who is championing the importance of art and the stories behind each artist. In that serendipitous moment, I felt something new unfold: a spark of inspiration. Perhaps coaching—being supported and truly seen—could be the next step in growing Nettle Revolution.

While I didn’t make many sales of my nettle scarves, I did make some. But what I gained was far more valuable: a deeper clarity and renewed commitment to expanding Nettle Revolution. To share more widely the healing power of nettles—to soothe wounds, calm the stings of life, and mend heartache with nature’s green resilience.

This opportunity has rekindled my mission to “take the sting out” of people’s lives and guide them toward their own path of self-care and healing.

With gratitude to the universe for weaving such beautiful threads into this journey,

Jane Gray
Founder of Nettle Revolution
